we can have a little Birmingham super league, blues to finish top of that, a win and a draw with the vlie, beat the dingles twice and beat the baggies twice................................... blues villa wolves albion
if you like you can do a midlands super league wiith stoke thrown in for good measure, most weekends i love to put £1 on blues vile wolves and baggies to win, not sure how many times it will come in this season but its always a good bet to look out for.

Not sure about Konchesky but we need a left back, unless Murphy can sustain an acceptable fitness level.
Jol looks to be back in the frame at Foolham and if so Konchesky may agree to stay, although I think the guy is after a pay day i.e. signing on fee etc so he may still move. I think his first choice will always be a London club if possible, wouldn't be surprised to see the Spammers sign him! "Murphy! ...the 26-year-old played the second half against a Hong Kong League XI on Sunday and then lasted the entire 90 minutes during Wednesday night’s victory over Beijing Guoan, when he arguably produced a man-of-the-match performance".http://www.birminghammail.net/birmingham-s...97319-26913208/KRO :Blues:
Still need another LB.
Ridge is a Stop Gap Murphy has question marks over his fitness.
Vignal, Quedrue have gone. Regardless of how good murphy was againstBeijing - we still need a nother LB.

I know what your saying Darren, my concern is Murphy looks good and then breaks down two weeks into season, back to Ridge as cover.
Think a LB is an absolute necessity, otherwise can see many teams trying our left flank out next season as an identified weaker area. Clyne would provide cover at RB for Carr and in the CB role, but really since Grainger the LB position has always been a concern.
Ridge gives his all, but realistically whilst he started out as a LB his preferred role is CB but at Blues now he would only be 3rd or 4th choice CB. Whether he would be prepared to sit on bench as CB back up I am not sure, shame really but I genuinely believe this is an area we need to strengthen and if we do the options for Ridge will become less and less.

Don't be surprised if season starts with Johnson and Ridgewell as CB's **thumbup

To be fair, whilst Clyne is a natural RB, he can also play left back too, as ive seen him do whilst playing for the England U19's during the ongoing U19 Euro's in France.

The Cottagers’ goalkeeper has been linked with a move to Arsenal but Hughes hopes to persuade the Australia star and left-back Konchesky – who has been a target for Birmingham – to stay. ‘It’s not my intention to allow the better players at Fulham Football Club to leave,’ the Welshman said. But Hughes did admit Fulham are unlikely to be able to afford Manchester City striker Craig Bellamy, although he is keen to bring in at least one new striker. Hughes added: ‘I think it’s fair to say that we need more attacking options.’

I was thinking that a couple of days ago when it was announced Hughes was coming to Fulham.
Looks like we missed the boat, we should have struck when nobody was in charge.

Fulham werent open to any sort of discussion regarding player movement whilst they were looking for their new manager...in order to give all responsibility to him when he joined... thats why nothing happened with Konchesky, and nothing happened with Schwarzer's rumoured move to Arsenal.

it is about time some people realised that blues buying new players does'nt just revolve around who birmingham city wants .its not just a case of us saying we want him so give him to us their are other parties involved i know this might come as a shock to some fans but it does need the 2/3 or even 4 parties involved to agree SHOCK HORROR :LMAO:
